is located near the intersection of Milbank Avenue and the Post Road (also known as US 1 or East Putnam Avenue). Easy walking to Downtown Greenwich shops, Starbucks, Whole Foods, NY Sports Club, YMCA and YWCA, Metro North train station and many other services.
Putnam Hill is one of the few apartment buildings in Greenwich that offers elevator accessed Garages and ample Outdoor Parking. Indoor Parking for one car per unit is available for a monthly fee. All parking garages are accessible by elevator. Parking in Building 3 is limited and there is currently a wait list.
Putnam Hill allows residents to have only one dog or cat per unit. The pet cannot
be taller than 18" at the shoulders or weigh more than 24 pounds.
Putnam Hill first floor apartments have parquet floors.
All other units have hardwood flooring. Second, Third
and Fourth floor residents are required to cover the floor
with padded carpeting or rugs.
Putnam Hill was built in 1956 near the Greenwich summit named for General Isreal Putnam who escaped down the hill from the British in 1779. Designed originally as apartments by architect Arthur Weiser, the 10 plus acre property was originally owned by William "Boss" Tweed and later the Milbank Ashforth family who founded the Borden Company.
